Expert Reports and
Testimony
Whether
you are an attorney representing the plaintiff or the defense, or an
executive representing a company on a regulatory matter, an expert
report and expert testimony can make or break your case.
The insurance business is highly technical, multi-faceted and
complex, and specific policy language must be evaluated in the context
of state and federal law. In
one recent example, a principal of Insure Success was retained by a
health insurer’s counsel as an expert for litigation.
The defense team believed they had significant exposure, and
were considering offering a six-figure settlement to the plaintiff.
After our expert analyzed the policy language and state law,
the matter went to trial. Following
the expert testimony, the jury found the defendant insurer not liable.
Do not wade into a morass of arcane insurance issues without a
competent expert.
